After working with Bob Klatt
for more than four years I have nothing but respect
for him and appreciate his input in guiding the
Burnsville Bowl. His emphasis on standardization
is the cornerstone in managing our operations and
in training and motivating our staff. Bob puts people
first thus he always focused on redefining employee
job descriptions, making "to do" checklists,
and stressed that we maintain a performance review
process.
Whatever the topic, Bob's methodology starts with
rebuilding from the ground up. He begins by making
us consider our mission and formulating a plan for
each initiative. Bob directed our focus on communicating
with employees and customers on a regular basis.
We learned the benefits of surveying customers to
let them tell us how we are doing. With Bob's strategies
we don't need to reinvent the wheel, just get it
to fit into our operations.
His gift is to promote, promote, and promote. He
has a knack for converting casual customers into
regulars and the incremental income falls directly
to the bottom line. He believes in getting our team
members into the business community to spread the
news about our product offerings.
Bob led us to structure our marketing activities
using sound business practices. He helped us to
document the regular marketing cycles in our business
as well as tackling big projects to get ahead of
the curve. He implemented standards and practices
with the idea of operationally preparing us for
the future. His perspectives from the outside motivated
us to take a step back and see the big picture which
has helped us break away from complacency. Obviously,
the longer you do something the easier it is to
take things for granted. Bob set fire to our feet
to help grow our business.
Bob Klatt is easy to work with and I recommend him
to anyone seeking direction with their marketing
and management efforts.
